Absences add up

I haven’t had to work with kids that have been absent. I’ve missed 5 days this school year; 4 of those days were from being sick and I got a little behind but I stayed after school till I got caught up. One of those days I was field trip out but after the field trip I went back to school for at least my last two classes of the day so I would not fall behind; I stayed after school that day I went to the classes I didn’t got to that day and asked for the work we did in class. When the child is absent the parent should email the teacher and find out what they did in class and see if they can get the work they did in class emailed or when they child goes back to school they can take it home for homework. To encourage kids to not miss school we could give them tickets everyday they come and have a raffle at the end of the week for candy, we can also make a point system and for each six weeks if all the student are at school they can have a little party or extra time at recess.
